She also knew well that she could never do it.
But what she left behind was too much... ubiquitous and perpetual.
So she decided to act willfully one last time.
All that she had seen, all that she had loved, and all that she had left behind...
She willfully compiled them into a book.
What she left behind is no more than a tale.
A story about a bygone era, about the thirteen who never became heroes...
It is a tale as simple as that.

The author was not kidding when he said the story will start with Elysia and it will end with Elysia like this is just phenomenal

Elysia's JP VA said she was trying not to cry when recording the final lines, I guess that is why Elysia sounded more melancholic than her usual upbeat self during the battle with Mei and in this animation.

No matter how many times i see this cutscene, when Eden and the others appears it always gives me the chills

In 7:27 Eden walking alone through the ruins of her Era is so damn tragic. She survived til the end but refused to enter the cryopod. Eden lost her will to live, wanting to die with her era. The Brightest star of the 1st Era lost her light, under a shining sky she walked alone. It made me cry.

Man that ending credits hit so hard. Seeing the flame chasers once they had a normal human past is so heartwarming in a way

the fact that elysia even though she was born a hersscher, she still choose to identify herself as a flamechaser till the last minute of her both lives shakes up smth inside me

CN Elysia sounded full of determination and making sure that everything will end like how it is, while JP Elysia sounded encouraging that we should move on, leaving all the sorrow of 'their failure' to reach the future they failed to see. I'll be honest, CN one was more energetic, but the melancholic feeling JP dub gives is so beautiful.

Farewell, Elysia. You, and the other 12 Flamechasers, will never die for us, as long the story remains in our heart.

Elysia was such a wonderful character.

I didn't trust her at first due to her overly whimsical and playful personality, but as i progressed through the ER storyline i realized she truly was a genuine sweetheart.

Both JP and CN dub is very good. The effort the VAs put in is very appreciated. Farewell Flame-chasers, you will always be remembered. Anyways this is about my 20th time watching this and its still as good as how I watched it for the first time. Incredible.

After Otto Apocalypse, I don't expect Hoyoverse to be able to produce another brilliant character. They really outdid themselves. Flame Chasers are the best 13 characters ever written for me personally. Well done, Mihoyo... Well done, Honkai team!

I love how everything she said after she transformed into the herrscher of human was pretty much the exact same words she said to mei just before meeting mobius in elysian realm, even the "but visitor, your journey never ends, right?" Except before she said "but mei, your journey never ends, right?" It's just one of the nice callbacks to the past like many others in this short

I'm so in love with Marina Inoue's performances. She did a good job on voicing two different entities with complete personality and full of passion just to make this emotional and intense. It's an amazing piece! Thank you, Inoue-sama!

There, awaits a mysterious pink haired girl
I was very suspicious of her
Who is this Elf girl actually?
For weeks after I went inside the realm, I tried to figure out who this bright girl is
How come someone like her becomes a part of the MOTH's?
The more I searched for the answer, the more she is enveloped in mystery
What is she? Who is she?
Still, no answer was found
After not finding the answers, I just decided to not think too much of her

But, she keeps appearing more and more
Leaving behind impressions every time we met
After times passed, I began to realize how I began to be attracted to her, in a way I cannot describe
Is it her personality? Her charm? Her charisma?
I can't say for sure, but that thing is what makes her able to gather all the people around her
Her purity and sincerity bring upon beauty in The World
It attracts others towards this shining beacon within the world that is almost ruined
A force that brings the gathering of The Thirteen Heroes
Solely becoming the Pillar that keeps them as one

The way she talks about them feels really passionate
Even towards the most dangerous of people
From there, I began to learn of their past, their struggles, their stories as I continue to travel within that realm
What they lost, and what they gain through out their life
In an Era with constant war against humanity's enemy
Hearing their heroic tales, each and every of their path that branches into a story akin to a fairy tale
I am Captivated by each of their unique stories and tales that were forgotten by time
And yet, in here, it remains eternal

That raises the question that I buried before, who is she?
The girl capable of becoming the beacon for these Moths that chased after an undying flame
Times passed and The Truth was laid bare in front of me
Her Beginning, Her Journey, Her Identity, Her Dream of Paradise, Her Destiny and Her Ending
The Story that Starts with her, and Ends with her
The memories that was uncorrupted, untainted, and pure
It gave me the answer I was looking for
The answer is just that simple
The girl that greeted us in the beginning of our journey
The girl described as a pink flower crystal
Fragile yet Pristine, Beautiful and Flawless
The one Loved by her people and companions
And The one that sees us off as she face the one that corrupts her paradise
The Girl that was born as a Herrscher and a Human
She is The Pristine of Ego

She is Elysia
The name that bares the meaning of paradise

And now, it is time to say our goodbyes
Farewell, Dearest Elysia
