The CO2 hanger bend and quick link removal hack are pure brilliance!

The split link "hacks" are how I do it all the time. Works great (and is easier than the string/cord trick in my experience).

if you don't wanna bang on your split-link to get it off, you can use a shoelace or something. pull it through both holes next to it, grab both ends and pull in opposite directions.

12:13 is a GREAT hack. Saves having to shorten your chain

Reuse shimano and sram quick links all the time on MTB and even e-bike where the power is far more significant and no issues for as long as quick links existed.

To fix a cut sidewall, and to be used in conjunction with a spare inner tube, as a tyre boot I have several different sized pieces of cut-up old inner tube, (the bigger the better). Place inside over the cut, insert inner tube and partially inflate to keep in place, then fully inflate. I love the cable reuse, and will scavenge a few lengths when I next replace my cables. Clever use of a CO2 canister too. Oh and yes, and my tool kit/saddle bag is growing larger.

Excellent advice -- noobie to tubeless and couldn't ask for a better instructor for this. Cheers

For splitlink removal i just use a shoelace or piece of rope. Thread it in both sides next to the link, pull on it, and done.

If the cable brakes in the deraileur, you can remove the barrel adjuster and it will free some of the cable to reattach to the deraileur, or you can even shorten the cable letting the harder gear unreachable, you will still remain with the other gears

The lesson I learned is to take Nick with me on my rides.

Watched this and didnt think I would learn a single thing, I was right again! I learned 2 new things, thanks so much!!! Huge fan of Josh, Nick and Francis cade. Could you help please??? Occasionally I have major trouble getting the bead off the rim, no problem really at home but couple of times bikepacking I used my folding saw to cut an approx 2 inch diameter branch, placed against tyre close to rim and bashed with a big rock, worked both times and was lucky not to damage the tyre. Have to make sure the branch has a really cleaan/smooth cut. Do you have an alternative fix please??? Eddy from The Toon.

this is absolutely brilliant :D 10/10 more please ...what was that kit you used for fixing the side wall?

Really useful hacks. Curious about using superglue though. Wouldn't a traditional tyre repair glue be better because of flexibility?

What is the brand of tubeless tire patch kit used in this video? The orange one.

12:15 I wonder if the same basic idea can be replicated with a zip tie.
