Damian Lewis said he often gets salutes from vets and others. He said makes him feel little odd because he didn't fight in tje war. I hope he understands the salutes are an acknowledgment how grateful us vets are how seriously he took the role. One thing that stands out is how well he did our (US) salute. Super sharp

My wife purchased the entire series as a gift while serving in Iraq during Christmas 2004. Beautiful CD case. Best gift EVER❤. I live in Hershey, PA. God bless this man. I know he is in Haven with his brothers and those he had to face. That is what I would want during my peaceful death. We are all victims of war. God be with you. Thank you for what you did for us. We appreciate it. You will never be forgotten. RIP, Sir.

That show was the best WW2 series I have ever watched, top in all facets of it production, Damien Lewis was superb in his role.

I don’t know what to feel… happy because we won the war, sad because all the nice souls we lost… and kind of missing those days ( my grandpa RIP was telling a lot about war ) fighting against evil… thank you so much for these memories and for your efforts WW2Wayfinder

Make sure i watch the full series every
And when they say at the end
"Bull ne retired somewhere working in earthmoving"
Always brings a tear to my eye as it shows they were just normal men
But im pretty sure a company of heros

I live 1.5km from this estate, and I visit it frequently. Absolutely fantastic to have such history in our village (and not only the estate as there's many more memorable places here).

Possibly the most memorable & inspiring TV series ever made...that featured a fantastic cast that told an incredible story of what the "Greatest Generation" did for us.
