Liftoff! NASA's SpaceX Crew-8 blasts off to the International Space Station!

On March 3rd, 2024, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched NASA's Crew-8 mission to the International Space Station (ISS). Astronauts Matthew Dominick (commander), Michael Barratt (pilot), Jeanette Epps (mission specialist), and Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin are embarking on a several-month science expedition aboard the Dragon spacecraft named Endeavour.

This mission will see the crew conducting over 200 science experiments that will benefit humanity both in space and on Earth. These experiments include studying brain organoids to understand

neurodegenerative diseases, the effects of microgravity and UV radiation on plants, and how to prevent fluid shifts in astronauts during spaceflight.
