These are my Top 10 Favourite Books as of 2020.

Note - I did not include any short story collections, novellas or graphic novels.
Also, I only included books I read PRIOR to 2020.

I plan to remake this video in a few years so I can see how my reading tastes have changed over the years.

A Song of Ice And Fire and The Expanse series are favourites of mine too. Yay for Cabin! That book gave me so much anxiety. I must prioritize reading Dark Places. I’ve been meaning to read it for too long now. Great list, Rachel!!

Gone Girl was wild! That was also one of my first real encounters with an unreliable narrator, and I was talking about it for days 😅 I got so excited to see Leviathan Wakes, and I’m looking forward to continuing that series. You have some great favorites!

I agree about Speak being an amazing, impactful book. I first read it back in high school and have also read it as an adult and it still completely holds up. Have you seen the movie adaptation of it? I personally think it's one of the best book to movie adaptations.

I’ve just read I’m thinking of ending things and WOW .. that was a wild ride! So eerie and suspenseful I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for the recommendation ☺️ I’ve noticed you sometimes sway towards literary fiction on occasion. I’m wondering if you’ve ever picked up The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell? If not, I urge you to do so! It’s got fantastical and horror elements through it and is by far one of my favourite reads of all time!

Speak is on my list as well! The graphic novel is stunning if you haven't read it, plus Laurie's memoir SHOUT. I loved Gone Girl. Nice list! I will have to read some of these. My all time favorite is a sequel called Dark Angel by V.C. Andrews (sequel to Heaven. It's a gothic horror).
