PDXCON 2017: Ideas are Useless! Pitch your game to Paradox!

Shams Jorjani talks about what it's like to pitch a game to a publisher and what Paradox looks for in partners to work with.

Just make a paradox verssion of Spore which takes 500hours to complete one campaign.

I'd make it so that strategies which are the best in some stages (cell for example) would pose very big problems in later ones.
So if you make a cell that is very fast and breeds early. Leter you'll have a reduced lifespan and higher cancer risks...

That would make overall min-maxing very hard.

Its presentations like this that make me want to work at Paradox all the more - all of the ethics and attitudes I agree with. Only one more year of university - a few years of experience... maybe I'll get lucky!
I doubt I'd ever have the balls to pitch a game idea myself (even if I have a couple half-cooked ones rolling around) but I would love to work on these games one day.

It would be quite nice if you guys do a game which maybe fills the current gap between eu4 and hoi4. Maybe then include a nice economy system and with political parties to reflect all the social changes in the era. Maybe name it after a famous monarch which named the era where the game takes place and following it with fancy roman numerals, I can sugest III. What do you think?
