Jell-O used to make gelatin popsicles when I was a kid, and they had the exact same texture and consistency as the peel on the Wonka pops. So it had a bit of nostalgia for me!

Boss: What have you got?
Drone: How about a popsicle that you peel like a banana?
Boss: Go on
Drone: We use cheap, artificially flavored vanilla frozen desert on the inside and then cover it with a colorful gelatinous covering made in the lab. The target audience is 4-8 year olds. Our production cost is about 10 cents and we'll sell a box of 4 for $6.99.
Boss: Perfect. This is exactly the kind of new ideas we want for the American palate.

in Mexico they're distributed by Nestle (I believe), , first it was just banana, , now it has a 'mistery flavor' which is basically the same gummy peel with a misterious ice cream flavor and color inside. I've bever tried either of them

I remember one time that my friend bought this peel-a-pop ice cream, and it was hilarious, when he bought it i asked him what was it? and he told me it was the best thing ever. After saying it he started to peel it like a banana and i remember i was really impressed, not until the covering fell to the floor and he was starting screaming THAT WAS THE BEST PART!!!!. I was laughing my ass off it was hilarious.
