The Engineer’s Wife sounds like it would be good! ☺️

With pilgrims progress, you can read a chapter daily, or here and there. I read through it like that with my kids, we have been doing it for years.

I loved In the Time of Butterflies. It’s one of the few books I’d like to reread. The signature of All Things has been on my TBR for several years. I wasn’t a fan of The Only Woman in the Room.

Thank you for reminding me that I have The Monuments Man in my library. I also saw the movie.I assume the book will be better… even though George Clooney won’t be in the pages…sigh…

I bought my Kindle the first year they were released. I lived out in the country and the next week we were hit with a wild snow storm that closed down the county. It was wonderful to be able to download books to read while I was trapped in my home. It felt like I was living in a starship with an awesome computer designed just to entertain me. All these years later, it still fills all my e-reading needs.
Enjoy!

Pilgrim's Progress is an absolute must read.
Elizabeth Gaskell is a favorite author from my high school years. Wives and Daughters was a drag for me but North and South was an all time favorite book.

A Stolen Life by Jaycee Dugard is a MUST READ. I read it years ago and I can still remember many details of her impossible situation. I would read that before all the rest mentioned.

I Capture the Castle is on my TBR too. It sounds like a great book for spring!

Oh, I loved "H is for Hawk" (Olive suggested it so many times she DID make me read it), . "Pilgrim's Progress" is very good. It is an allegory of a Christians walk with the Lord. Depending on what version you have (original or a contemporary) it can take a little time to get used to the writing style but it is worth it.

What a great haul! I enjoyed Bel Canto as well as her The Magician’s Assistant. On an unrelated note, as a licensed esthetician I must say your eyebrows are on point! 😉❤️

Ooh! I see Engineer's Wife on your list! Tracey is a super nerd and was just on my channel nerding out about WWI details! Can def recommend this one, highly detailed and interesting. 🤗

I’ve been wanting to read H is for Hawk! Can’t wait to hear what you think. ♥️ My oldest daughter loved The Only Plane in the Sky. I liked Center’s How to Walk Away way better than the firefighter one. The Hanff covers!!! 😍♥️

I'm jealous of your love for the Kindle, I WANT to love the Kindle!
Oh, I need to know your thoughts on The Spy and The Traitor, I'm curious about that one!
84 Charring Cross Road, so jealous you found that one!
The Dry, I think I'm one of the few that didn't love that series.
I've only read The Mystery of Mrs. Christie by Marie Benedict and ended up giving it 2 stars. I've realized I don't like reading about unlikeable characters.
I'm so glad it's warming up here because after hearing you mention Little Free Libraries so often I really want to go!

Molokai is a great read. If you like it, he came out with another book based in Hawaii and a sequel

J'nell Ciesielski is a really good author, I've only read The Ice Swan by her but I loved it and it makes me want to read more of her books.

I capture the castle was one of my favs when I was younger. The dry is also very good! I’m not usually into suspense, but it was very tense and well written! The tv show based on it is also well done.

I really liked To the Bright Edge of the World and cannot remember any magical realism in it. I dnf’d the Snow child due to the magical realism that was too much for me.

Wow! Fantastic book haul! I loved The Dry and really enjoyed Bel Canto. I have also recently hauled The Spy and the Traitor! I have also heard good things about Julia Alvarez and Marie Benedict but never tried them! 😊📚

Your historical fiction picks are so diverse! I think of historical as like WW1 or WW2 but you always show other stuff and I’m like ohhhh yeah there’s more haha
