Love from a former 69 4 door owner. I wish I could have afforded to keep mine since it was my first car. I don't even have my pictures anymore. Long story involving a stepfather.

Hey Shop. Now that is what I call a hand full. I'd be wearing gloves if I was cleaning that. This will be an interesting build. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍

Hello from Buenos Aires, Argentina! Being a die hard fan of this particular model of car, this channel is the best thing I've found so far on YouTube!
A little history about this model here in my country:
This model was called 'Chevrolet Chevy' or 'Chevrolet Chevy Coupe' fir the two-door version. It was sold from 1969 to 1978 without any significant change. The car was named like that because the original name of the car, 'Nova', was associated with the phrases "no va", "no va a andar", "no va más" and "no va ni para atrás" (which you can translate as 'it's a no-go', 'it's not gonna work' and so on and so forth) and this name was discarded as it was considered detrimental to the brand in our market.
The absolute top of the line of this model here was called 'Chevy Serie 2', which was sold from 1972 until the end in 1978. The engine, for American standards at least was a little boat anchor if you will, a 4.1 liter (250c.i.) inline 6 with 170hp. For the time here in my country it was a beast. The 4-door versions like the STD Sedan and the Malibu came with a 3.8 liter (230c.i.) inline 6 with power ranging from 130hp to 144hp.
The all-time rival here is the Ford Falcon Sprint, which is a 4-door, not the one that was sold in North America. It's basically the same body from the first Ford Falcon produced in the U.S.A. from 1959 to 1963, with little modifications on the front and the rear, and you're not gonna believe it, but that same model was sold here all the way 'till 1991!!!!
Anyways... new sub here. I'm gonna start watching a lot of your previous videos 'cause this car is my dream car. Cheers!

John, back in 1990 I bought a 1971 2 door Nova 6 banger 3 speed on the floor factory gold paint, 10 bolt rearend for $300.00 & it was a runner. It had been setting for 3 years & this car was rust free. I changed the rearend to a 12 bolt, replaced the broken windshield, & drove that car for 14 years . That SOB was MINT condition I was the 3rd owner of it. In 2004 sold that SOB for $3500.00, but I needed the money at that time. I wished that I had never sold it. I'm looking for another one & the prices are WOW,

Great stuff as always. I love the "slap it together and see if...." approach. MY 77' body is almost there. Swaping rears from my parts car can't wait!! Need a better jack like yours Keep em' coming

Wish I could get motivated to finish the 74 nova that I started years ago.

I had a buddy offer me a '70 camaro for my '70 nova. Now, my nova would be passed by in a salvage yard and the camaro basicly needs running gear. I can't do it! I just can't. I got a '71 moredoor my 7 year old daughter has claimed. She's one of us too! Thing is, we're happy with our nova condition and it's not affecting anyone else, so why not!

Pull the valve covers to see how much sludge is built up and watch the rockers to see what shape the cam is in and if the push rods are spinning.

I don't understand why everyone hates on 4 doors. My first car was a 74 nova 4 door, and I've owned a lot of sedans. A cool car is a cool car regardless of shit count, in my opinion
