Wonderful discoveries. Clays form from water reacting from what minerals are around it. I think the large amount of elemental carbon was a great surprise. The handedness of any organic molecules will indicate if life was present. Biological molecules have a handedness.

So...am I understanding this correctly...that without this asteroid we wouldn't be what we are today...or another asteroid would have to come along and provide the same elements?

Beautiful is your find NASA; I look for further development where humans can live outside carbon influence; an alternative to Carbon life.

God doesn't Create dumb he creates good and even if you don't want to repent for your sins and not accept Jesus Christ almighty God as your personal savior that's on you. God is real and so is Jesus Christ almighty God

‭[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.
[4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
[5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

"Can you believe it?"
I don’t think we have a choice.
NASA won't say that we spent billions launching a machine that will land on an asteroid and when it came back, we found nothing except what we could have found in our backyard. Maybe we should launch an effort to find nitrogen on an asteroid, because ya know, we don't have enough.
