What an amazing rivalry - Stevie vs LFC throw in coach

To clarify the whole situation - which would have be good to do in the studio too - I had 4-5 visits pr season in LFC the first two seasons (18/19 - 19/20). The Covid 19 situation + travel restrictions + tight playing schedule meant that I had 1-2 visits the last 3 seasons. So, it wasn´t a question about me asking about something unreasonable - but just wanted to go back to how things were the first two seasons. The club didn´t want that - and I respect them for that - we go in seperate ways - with the biggest respect for each other.

I respect ESPN FC, and it seems like it´s a program with room for a lot of fun.
I think that´s fine.
I just don´t understand why my job and person allways has to be discussed in an unserious way!
Don´t get me wrong - I also laugh of myself sometimes - use some self-irony - because YES, I have a special job... BUT...

Why aren´t you at ESPN FC asking yourself - how can this guy be a part of 14 titles in international football + many other great results...
Yes, I know performance is not only about throw-ins - it´s also other things - but why aren´t you asking yourself the question - What does he do - and how does he train the players?

My life is too short to be angry about people making fun of my training - my results are proven - but why not turn it around.
So, I challenge you...
Put me in the studio - together with Steve and the others - it will be fun, and I´m not up for revenge... just want to have a good chat, some laughs, and make your audience wiser on throw-ins.
That would be good for all.

Have a great day.

To be fair to the throw in coach. Losing goals isn't his fault.

He posted a video, he said he wanted to do the throw in coaching like 5 sessions a season however Liverpool only wanted 2 sessions a season. His YouTube channel is just his name

Didn’t even know we had a throw in coach.
We have not been good at taking or defending throw ins.

Laughing at the idea of having a throw-in coach is a microcosm of why English football is often so far behind other nations. The history of football is that of British teams being arrogant and dismissive while teams elsewhere innovate and look for any possible advantage.

I like the guys but this segment was so ignorant in my opinion. If they ACTUALLY did some research they would understand why he is leaving. He usually had 4-5 coaching sessions per season, but after covid and such the sessions were reduced. Now he wanted to get back to those 5 sessions per season but Liverpool decided to just do it their own way.

Looking down on the throw in coaches is pure ignorance. Just because it was not a thing before doesn't mean it has no purpose / use. 40-60 throw-ins in a game. If Stevie actually watched liverpool throwins from the time he wasn't coaching to now he would see the difference.

What a poor poor take

Good! Now we need to go and hire Nottingham throwing coach since they scored two goals against us from long throw ins

Didn’t know there was a throw in coach. I though the players just threw it in

He's been there for 5 seasons? How time flies. I thought he was a recent acquisition.
Can't say I've ever seen any results on the pitch from his coaching. Just the opposite. I've always felt the players movement in getting into space to receive a throw in was virtually zero. Just like so many stats in football I have no idea what that stat he quoted meant. Sometimes coaches just confuse players too much. Whether at throw ins or otherwise.

Tbh telling a coach they can't coach more is a bit weird especially if he feels like he isn't being given enough time to get through to the players

What was the point of his appointment? Both robertson and arnold take a lifetime to throw it in and never throw it to our player....ever.
