Puttee is a hindi/urdu word which means piece of cloth used for tying something, like a bandage or so. Their use originated in the british raj.

I bought a pair of kirza jack boots recently with the help of this video. I love the quick desctinctions and break down of what each boot is and how the boots are built.

I think that there are some issues about the boots have to be discussed further more. Because, some knowledge is already updated in a very instructive series of articles about RKKA boots named "Реконструкция начинается с обуви", please refer to this.

Would you be able to do another video in the style of “do’s and dont’s” for late war soviet rigging? I’m new to the collecting hobby and I find it a little challenging to differentiate authentic/accurate reproductions vs lower quality reproductions.

If you are going to make a video trying to help reenactors can you at least get your information correct/together. The red army introduced kirza into their boots in 1938. There is evidence of such boots being used in Finland during the winter war. War time kirza boots also featured a leather foot and a kirza shaft. Standard enlisted leather boots should also have the sole held together with wooden pegs and not nails.
