Branded has been out classed many times, yet it comes back every time Konami realizes another archetype needs a counter.

Any fusion deck that has light or dark monsters works well with branded so it's hard to kill it off.

Branded is a really powerful deck. You never out of cards while playing.

A big thing with Master Duel Meta is that the data will change constantly. For example, this is the most recent change as of last night and is constantly updated via usage and tournaments. Ever since the recent Purrely and R-ACE support came out, Branded was on the high end of Tier 3. However, this can always change as more data continues circulating.

Personally, what I believe keeps Branded in the Top 3 tiers is due to its versatility and the fact that it can be played on so many different ways that despite the hits, it can still stay strong and reasonably consistent. Whether it be going Branded Illusion Horus or Branded Tear or just pure Branded, this deck won't die.

When i picked up a branded starter deck i had no idea it would be this resilient.

It’s resilient because branded fusion is still legal. As long as we have even 1 branded fusion legal we will find a way to make it work

I run Despia with Ecclesia, Golden Sword soul and Bystials. It's good for playing through some tough boards. As long as you can get them to use their negates and destruction before you play the starter card you should be fine. Golden sword soul is just good for getting Ecclesia, Quem and/or Cartesia to the field for a follow up and the Bystials actually help activate his effect if your opponent doesn't do it for you which they mostly likely will 😂

Personally I've gone to a 40 build the 60 was decent but there was way too many times I'd win coin flip go first and my hand was just straight bricked on thrusts called bys and all that so I decided to change to 40 and I'm much more satisfied with my opening hands and I consistently open hand traps more which I consider more valuable than relying on board breaker builds in md

I think trying to play Branded pure in OCG and Master Duel is interesting due to how many hits it has. You can't really play Branded Chimera all that well in OCG since there is only 1 Branded Fusion.

I'm becoming more fond of the deck because of how high its ceiling is. If Branded Fusion continues to stay at 3 in the TCG (it honestly should, who cares), I may have to consider playing it pure just for that reason.

But with that being said Lightning storm over droplets 💧is wild to me. Droplets is way more versatile first and second and it’s free off of spell activations. And dodges target negation.

Imo 60 card builds are superior on master duel.

Either have a turbo build with with allure and patchwork with one high spirits. Or do the non turbo build with 3 high spirits and more bystial. Both good i prefer turbo.

But I think 3 cart has to be standard now. It’s the best card in this deck and you want to see it. Even in doubles so you have one for discard or high spirits or in grave and another for field effect.

Imo quem can be played at one. It’s better at 2. Especially in 60. And especially with 2 grang

But leads to my final. I have no idea why 2 grang isn’t standard. Card is so good. It allows you to send off one for high spirits. 2 makes puppet locks way easier in simplified game states. And if you’re playing unicorn it ensures you have 2.

Branded plays so many one ofs, all the semi limits do basically nothing and the limits say "we are punishing you for having Branded Fusion while Rescue-Ace Snake-Eye is a thing"
Like I get 1 card being able to get you 7 more in the same turn is not the best for the game balance I guess but they arent consistent at all about it

Oh, just realized you didn't even have to summon maximus there and just keep it in hand to keep mirrorjade in the GY. Once you do the in red play, you can just bring back mirrorjade. Just goes to show how strong this deck is.

It thrives because there it's best of 1 format and there is no side decking. Fusion/Synchro/XYZ decks suffer a lot because of targetted floodgates like D-Barrier in the side deck.

Honestly, limiting Branded Fusion just makes it easier to put in other fusion cards like Chimera Fusion. In addition, it’s now an Ash bait in my opinion. If they try banning it would just out right kill the the deck.

The deck never dies it has so much versatility the reason the deck fall out of the meta is because everyone is playing the new meta deck and they toss it aside until the current meta decks get nerfed and players realise branded is still pretty strong and it becomes tier 1 again. When snake eye gets nerf really hard watch branded raise again. Until the deck still has branded fusion it will never die

Heyy just wanted to try out branded in MD and you drop this. I was also looking at yours and Paks lists for referance. Do you think that 45-50 cards decklists simmilar to what both of you play in TCG are inferior to the 60 playstyle in MD because of the hits or you just felt like playing more of a pile style?
