Tulsi Gabbard: We are on the brink of WW3

The warmongers are trying to drag us into WW3, which can only end in one way: nuclear annihilation and the suffering and death of all our loved ones. Zelensky, Biden, NATO, congressional and media neocons are insane. And we are insane if we passively allow them to lead us into this holocaust like sheep to the slaughter. We find hope in the fact that the vast majority of Americans are sane, but sanity is not enough. We also need courage. The courage to stand up to the powerful warmongers, and in unison declare: “No! we will not allow you to destroy our families, communities, environment, country, and world!”

The danger today is that though people perceive that nuclear weapons are not really 'war fighting' weapons, that does not mean they will never be used. The true role of nuclear weapons is that they are used by those who have lost to deprive the victor of any benefits of victory. What this means is that we should never have gotten into the situation we are in now, a NATO proxy war with Russia and an obvious intention to effect regime change inside Russia, because there can be no victory worth having. It has even been a commonplace of debate within foreign policy making elites in Washington to toy with the idea that once Russia has collapsed the Russian Federation will be broken up by the west supporting minorities and separatists within the federation so that it will never again rise as a power. Russian nuclear weapons should have deterred this policy. It was for this reason Russia hesitated to invade Ukraine for a year, believing the west would never be mad enough to go down this road, trying to get the US or NATO to negotiate on the disposition of forces in Europe. Instead the west prepared Ukraine for the invasion and rejected out of hand any question of even recognising, let alone accommodating Russian concerns. The Russians have thus experienced much greater difficulties, and much heavier loses in this invasion then they would have if they had simply invaded a year earlier. The grim conclusion is this, that nuclear deterrence has failed and we are now in a world where anything can happen. Meanwhile the western leaders, press, media and pundits all talk about this conflict as if is just like overthrowing Qaddafi or Saddam, it is not. Our leaders have jumped off the precipice and taken us all with them.

I am a conservative, and have been a Trump supporter. I have a lot of respect for Tulsi and her patriotic, level headed voice of reason. I believe she is more interested in doing what is best for our country than any declared candidate yet. We need to unite as a country again and quit this, "We vs Them" paradigm. Our career politicians keep pushing division on us constantly. Tulsi could be the leader to break that.
