Cavill seems like a really cool and humble guy. He is by far the best choice for Superman and will own in the role.

Let's look at what we know about Cavill so far:

He can ACT - The Tudors
He looks like Superman - Like he leaped off Jim Lee's comic book pages
He has Superman's voice - deep and commanding but also that nice guy feeling
He seems like a nice guy.
He's reading up on the comics.
He's working out.
He respects the character and is genuinely excited to play him.

I think he'll make an excellent Superman.

I think Cavill is a good choice for the new Superman movie. Although I am a huge Tom Welling fan I think having a fresh face and a more mature take on the story would be a nice change. Tom Welling played the best Clark Kent depicting superman in his early years and I am sure after playing this character for 10 years Tom deserves a break and an opportunity to pursue other projects on the big screen. I am looking forward to the new movie.

I was tickled pink when they announced that he was going to play big blue. I remember a few years ago when I first saw him The Count of Monte Cristo, I remember thinking "Damn, if he was a little bit older he'd be perfect as Superman". So imagine my delight to actually see that come to pass.

I love Henry Cavill he's aweome... I also hear he was Stephanie Myers personal choice to be Edward Cullen in the Twilight films but by the time they went into post production he was too old for the role... thank god for :)
