PROJECT NAME: Vinyl Print Press Tote Bag
Handmade By Pkay Oldham
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
Vinyl Print Press All-in-One Kit
Blank Tote Bag
Cutting Machine
Household Iron
Masking Tape
DIRECTIONS:
1. Cut design on iron-on vinyl material with your preferred cutting machine. Do not mirror the design!
2. Weed away excess vinyl where you want the ink to show.
3. Place vinyl on the back side of the silkscreen frame.
4. Turn household iron to its lowest setting and iron over the design onto the silkscreen frame. Do not exceed 5-7 minutes.
5. Slowly remove the clear backing from the vinyl to reveal your design on the silkscreen frame.
6. Place silkscreen frame onto the vinyl print press. Design should be facing you, showing the correct way it will print on tote bag.
7. Add masking tape to all edges of the silkscreen frame to prevent ink from getting onto unwanted areas on tote bag.
8. Place a sheet of card-stock inside tote bag to prevent ink from bleeding.
9. Open vinyl print press, add tote bag onto base, then close
10. Add a line of ink to the top of the silkscreen frame.
11. Use squeegee to spread ink over design until your design is covered.
12. Open vinyl print press to reveal your finished tote bag.
13. Allow tote bag to dry overnight, then heat set ink by ironing over design with household iron for 10-12 seconds.

Screen-printing is my go-to technique when I want to create multiple products using the same design in minutes! It’s also the best technique when it comes to printing on different materials such as metal, plastic, wood, acrylic and of course fabric!
