I’m ultramarathon runner and hybrid athlete James Pieratt. I recently ran in the Mile Madness 100-mile Ultramarathon outside of Sacramento, CA. It was a nutty race where competitors had to run one hundred 1-mile loops in an insane version of what they call a Backyard Ultramarathon. Pretty much everything went disastrously wrong from the start, and this video follows my attempt to finish the ultramarathon amid a minefield of problem, setbacks and obstacles.

Wow, in the first half of the video I thought you had chewed more than you could bite in that situation, but it is a true inspiration to know you overcame that wall and finished it.
Honestly I don’t think it was wise to run that 100 mile without having the jaw properly healed but I did my first marathon 1 week after having taken a car door to the face with my bike so…
I’m currently working on my first 100km, and I would like to thank you for pushing your limits and teaching us what peaks humans can reach.

Bro looked like absolute death when he was talking at the aid station at 4:00, I can't believe he finished and with a good time. This will be inspiration for my hundred. When it gets hard at least I won't be recovering from jaw surgery and full of anti-biotics WTF LMAO
