In this video, I change the valve cover gasket on this 1994 Jeep Wrangler Renegade with the 4.0 straight 6. This will also work for the majority of these Jeeps with the 4.0 like the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee. I was amazed to see how oil soaked she was cause I'll bet it's been leaking for a long time....

Check out the other video I have on this Jeep replacing all the brake lines:

Great video, however, the bolts should be torqued to 55 in-lb according to the manual.
Thank you for posting. This was helpful

My suggestion is to replace the gasket as soon as possible, which can effectively prevent gas and liquid leakage

LOL. It absolutely looked like it was leaking for a while. How has it held up?

WHEN TIGHTNING DOWN THE BOLTS FOR THE VALVE COVER, HOW DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH TORQUE YOU'RE APPLYING BY USING A RATCHET WITH SOCKET?

I love the Jeep, but man that oil was all over the place! Is this one yours? Any other plans for it?
