What is glaucoma?

In a healthy eye, fluid is made in the front of the eye and flows out through the trabecular meshwork, which is a part of the drainage angle. If fluid doesn't flow out properly, eye pressure increases and damages the optic nerve.

I have this condition and I have to take eye drops for the rest of my life four times so I don't go blind from it. I also have a really good glaucoma specialist that checks to my pressure and does all the tests I need for glaucoma.

what is the substance that is being drained, & what can one do, or avoid, that will stop the drainage process? The pressure build up is due to blockage in the drainage system, can this situation of the blockage be reversed or what to do to avoid this blockage all together? The material that blocks the drainage system is the problem - where does this pollution come from? Internal factors or external. I am one that has glaucoma in one eye. I take a chemical cocktail of drops that that keep the eye pressure balanced but leaves my eye socket pink to red. I am not keen on taking drugs for the rest of my life. I am aware that medical drugs are a big money maker, are there alternatives? Thanking you>
