This is a short video of highlights from the Nov. 28, 1976 National Football League game between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots in Foxborough, Mass., won by the Patriots, 38-14.
It is from This Week in Pro Football NFL 1976 Week 12 by NFL Films.
New England took care of business in its race to the playoffs, as quarterback Steve Grogan rushed for a touchdown and threw for one, Mike Haynes had a 62-yard punt return TD, and Andy Johnson and Ike Forte rushed for scores. Don Calhoun had 177 yards on 25 totes. The D helped out, too, with Tony McGee and Co. tallying nine sacks, and Haynes making a Willie Mays-like interception.

Steve grogan isn't a great qb, but he was a good qb in retrospective. His tough running, and deep passing abilities were rarely a combo in the 70s, yet he did both

Had the Broncos won this game, there would've been a 3-way tie for the final wild card spot in the afc. The patriots, broncos, and bengals would all be 10-4. Question is, who would fill in that final playoff spot
