Horse Painting Time-Lapse - Stradivarius Racehorse - Oil on Canvas.

Realistic horse painting of the legendary racehorse Stradivarius, in oil on canvas. This horse art oil painting took me three months to paint. I pursued Stradivarius relentlessly for over a year, to study him and to watch him race, prior to his retirement in 2022.

In this time-lapse video, you'll see how I build up glazes of oil paint to achieve texture and colour - without my hands and brushes getting in the way of the camera. You'll then see the landscape background being painted in, after the horse portrait has been completed. So you can decide whether you prefer the painting with or without the Ascot landscape.

This oil painting is the first in a series that I am creating, showing the results of my Strad-stalking!
