For those who don't get it right on the first attempt: after you turn off the car, you need to press the trip button AND click twice the start button. That is the same thing as opening the switch.

THANK YOU, SIR. This worked perfectly for me on a 2012 Toyota Venza Limited V6 2WD. All wires in the connector were the same color and in the same place in the connector. I found a wiring diagram on the web and the green wire was labeled IND and the red wire was labeled RF5V. One thing to note is that wires are stranded and tiny. It takes a lot of care to strip off the hard insulation without also cutting the tiny strands. I used a brand new Exacto blade and patience. My 26 gauge strippers were much too large so my best guess is that wires are 30 or 32 gauge. I could not find a wire connector for wires that small so I used the same method as in video. I tried just cutting the green wire and that caused a red light on dash next to the dreaded TPMS light AND a message on my monitor saying TPMS FAILURE. So the green wire MUST be connected to the red wire. I'm 69yo and it was an absolute PIA to reach the wires. I peeled off some of the electrical tape on the harness and that helped some. Removing the glove box helped me see better. Removing the glove box housing (as in video) would have made the wiring far easier but that's a PIA in itself. Toss up between one PIA or the other. Good Luck.

Do you still have your Venza? I have a 2010 with 130, 000 miles on it. It still runs awesome.

Thank you ! I have an appointment for an oil change next week but I can’t stand not being able to see the time, temp and everything else that’s up there on the screen and it sitting like that for a week would drive me crazy.
