I highly recommend CleanMyMac X. Been using it for over a year now. Used it on my Dad's Mac which was a base model 2017 MBP. The Mac was good but since it was the base model it came with only 128GB of storage. As power user who needed to use a lot of demanding softwares for school, I often ran into bottlenecks and unfortunately that was the only computer we could afford in our family. After getting CleanMyMac X on trial it made my Dad's computer I was able to get back a lot of storage and helped with performance (I used to make sure to run CleanMyMac X once before I do any demanding task on the computer, and it definitely made it perform a little better). Thankfully, I was able to finally buy an M1 Mac for myself this year and CleanMyMac X was one of the first few apps I made sure I installed on it.

I am very frustrated. Whenever I use the Malware removal option it says that I have 28 malware in my Mac!!! If I try to click “remove“ a screen pops-up saying that i need to buy the software to remove it. Please help me I am very worried. What do i do to remove all these Malwares??

Hey there, I couldn't find any info on this question, hoping someone could help. I tried to use CMMX to search my QNAP server but it won't cooperate. I can find the server and individual folders from the "Choose Folder" option, but once I choose that folder the window flashes and it just defaults to my Mac HD. Help please?

CC cleaner use to be the best. Heard it is now used to gather user information. If true, don’t even take a chance installing it. Clean my mac x $90. Ouch

I really dislike reviews like this... It promotes CleanMyMac X as a "fantastic" cleaning app without ANY empirical evidence that it does ANYTHING constructive. I actually own this app and I have read or watched virtually every review I can find on it, including comparisons with other "cleaner" apps like Avast Cleaner or older ones like OnyX. So, while I appreciate its "eye candy" design, the user is actually being asked to blindly trust that it does NOT do any harm and DOES do something useful. However, if you ask MacPaw as I did, they do NOT offer ANY evidence that this app accomplishes anything that empirically speeds up your Mac computer. Their User manual and every review mentioned on their website only talks about WHAT the app does and HOW to use it. There is zero evidence presented anywhere showing WHAT it accomplishes. IF any other person can present measurable evidence that this app does something useful, please present it.

Free up RAM/smart clean options use M1 macs swap memory at the end of cleaning, its using 16gb ram and taking swap memory, I didnt liked the ram cleaning(free up) swap memory also using

I am using Macs for over 30 years and I have NEVER had a need to clean anything on any of my Macs, I have owned the whole line of Macs, Mac minis, iMacs, MacBook Pros, MacBook Airs...at least 20 or more computers alone.

Apple has the best machines on the markets and do not require any serious cleaning, other than the cache that we do once or twice a day. I never shut the machines off, I only restart the machines every other day at most...this cleaning nonsense is a bunch of crap...
