Remy: 'Full House’ (San Francisco Real Estate Parody)

You can't watch "Full House" reruns without getting nostalgic (for the good old days when a San Francisco townhouse wasn't $6 million)

Written and performed by Remy
Produced and Edited by Austin Bragg
Music tracks and mastering by Ben Karlstrom.
Background vocals by Kelly Brock

LYRICS:

How could this family afford this facility?
Have you seen the cost of real estate? It's insanity!
A kitchen? Are you kidding me?
Who let them paint that door?
Did someone bribe a commissioner?

The loudest peeps that you've ever seen
And compliance costs balloon
But if you stop supply as demand rises
It's no wonder very soon

Everywhere you look, there's a tarp
A sheet to hold on to
Everywhere you look, there's a space
Look, some condos could go there

Everywhere you look

Changing our town's character is what I bemoan
There's a guy taking a crap outside a Cold Stone
And red tape
Everywhere you look

Only Remy can make an affordable housing crisis into a catchy song

Changing the character of San Francisco is all they've done. Whatever they're trying to preserve died a long time ago.

I remember the shade kills kids thing, when they blocked an apartment building because at one part of the day it would shade a part of the school. So dumb. The funniest part was they had a big ole tree right in front of the school

Imagine what the Manhattan skyline would look like today if people campaigned against “changing the character of the neighborhood” 100 years ago.

The fact that you are not a viral sensation is frustrating.

If you want to experience the ridiculousness of SF regulations, try getting a permit to replace a street facing window on a home that is 50+ years old. The city requires wood clad aluminum windows to preserve the character. Those things are 3x the cost of even an aluminum frame window!

I believe Danny bought that house around when DJ was born so that would’ve been late 70s which is just before Housing became insane in San Francisco and Danny was a successful TV personality so he definitely Made millions throughout his career in broadcasting That’s how he was able to afford that house

The city of San Clemente spent $5000 per month per homeless person to provide them with a....camp site! Big Government sucks

🤣
Remy, you’re hilarious. I grew up in SF and watching Full House. Everything mentioned here is practically spot on, except there is no Cold Stone in San Francisco proper. (Wouldn’t be surprised if the regs and taxes were too onerous)

Remy really has it down to make you feel depressed while listening to a happy song.

This might explain why so many residents are leaving California and moving here to the Midwest.
By 2030 I'm willing to bet that most of California will be a full-blown dystopian state.

Honestly I say good, let San Francisco suffer. It is the only way some people learn. Anyone with sense should leave that heck hole.
