Ernesto Lecuona (1895-1963) was a famous Cuban composer who wrote hundreds of pieces in the Latin-American style, with 'Malaguena' and 'The Breeze and I' ('Andalucia') being among the best-known. In this 1955 recording, Morton Gould and his Orchestra play one of his shorter numbers, a delightful piece conjuring up the world of gypsies and flamenco dancing.
