Texas school bus hits, kills 5-year-old student

A 5-year-old student at Emma Roberson Early Learning Academy died on Monday morning after being hit by a school bus.

I would think a 5 year old, a kindergartener, would be placed on the school bus by an adult instead of running to catch the bus.

No kid should have to be getting up at 5 am to catch a bus. Or be on the bus for 2 hours before getting to school or home but that seems to be the norm here in Texas.

Sounds like the kid was late and ran in front of the bus when it was leaving. The bus didn’t hit the child. It ran him over. Probably. That’s a low speed accident and likely the driver never even saw the kid.

They need to find better times for elementary school 6 o’clock in the morning too early for kids and children to be out. They need to be 10:00 AM all that early stuff that ain’t it for small babies no more they don’t. They need to change.
