I recently discovered I'm a contralto instead of thinking I was a horrible singer. I can easily sing along with this and go a little lower too. And then I read the comments of people saying she's actually a soprano and it makes my brain hurt 😅

Love this! Her tone is beautifully smooth. She sounds like a mezzo-soprano or an alto. True contraltos have a heavy bass tone even in the "higher keys" which are F3/G3 while our lowest tones are in the B2, Bb2, A2, Ab2, range.

People in here jealous cause she's a contralto. Amy winehouse was also a contralto and doesn't always sing this low. Ella's Fitzgerald, one of the most famous contraltos doesn't always sing low. Ella could sing pretty high actually.

for years i thought i was terrible at singing because i couldn't hit the high notes at karaoke nights. But when I discovered the different vocal ranges i found that as a woman i could sing lower notes and sang "take me to church" at karaoke nights, the whole crowd loved it and gotten compliments.

Her voice is like velvet! I'm a tenorino ( Tenore Contraltino to be precise, I think. I could be Tenore Altino though) my voice is very similar to hers but I sound slightly more masculine. I basically sound like I'm still 14. 😂

i couldn't do soprano. i tried alto but even that was high. contralto was fine for me. i got put in with bass. i'm 14. so i'm a lower contralto. we're so under appreciated tbh.

Please, she's likely a mezzo. You can hear how high her tessitura is. A contralto does not sound like this, and just cause you can sing low doesnt make you one.
