One of the best looking cars ever made.

My favourite American car, just beautiful. Shame I’ve not seen one in the flesh, never seen any Impalas in the UK

My first car was a 348v, 1960 Impala convertible. It was all black, but with the white center stripe as shown in this video. Interior was all red with black carpets....Great car; got me in a lot of trouble.

I bought one in 1965 for $1100- . Kept it 3 years then drove it across the US from Maine To Washington State in January '68. Traded it on a '64 Pontiac Tempest 2 Dr sedan 326.

When I was a kid in the 60's, my neighbor had one. It was dark blue with red interior and fuzzy dice hanging on the mirror. It was love at first sight.

My favorite year Impala.
I just wish the 409 was a option.
But not until 61😒

130 mph on tube tires?
That's nuts!

Beautiful car can’t build like that no more cheap pieces of plastic you’re paying more for . Shame on the EPA for messing up cars these plastic bumpers ain’t worth a dime .

I remember when this baby came out! The '59 was totally weird, but as the impalas evolved through 1966 - they just got better and better! I had a Silver Blue '64 SS Impala with a 327 and power glide. It was beautiful! (The 348 was actually a truck engine GM used to complete with the muscle of Ford and Chrysler. It became the 409 and later gave way to the 427, ultimately the 454!

My 1970 Buick Skylark Custom had the speed alarm. You turned a dial with a thin red marker attached to it and set it on the speed you wanted. When the speedometer needle reached it the buzzer would sound loud enough to hear over a radio. Saved me from tickets on the highway.

My uncle had one of these bought new, same turquoise color scheme - he traded it for a brand new 63’ Impala 3 years later
