I was surprised at the size of some of the men he picked up for that maneuver. Adam Bomb was the first 300 pounder I saw him hit that on. Hands down the best wrestler to never wear a world title.

He did it from the corner (backing up as he prepared it), because he didn't want to hurt anybody else who was nearby; like the ref or other wrestlers in the ring...There may have also been the possibility that he feared that he might throw 'em too far and right out of the ring; causing some VERY SERIOUS injuries or perhaps even DEATH. Scott was a real pro, who made sure that everybody was gonna be OK and everything was well within safety regulations!

Only time I ever truly got fooled is WM21 when Angle hit Shawn with the tope rope Angle slame and direcly pinned him after! I swore it was over!
