Aww that’s aDORAble! I went to work in a yard where there was a special bond between a mare and a stable cat. Cat would come in by the window, mare would put her chin high up in the partition and cat would walk along and rub her whole body over the mare’s face and head. One day, mare was moved. Cat came in her old box while I was mucking out another horse in there and she was all “Who’sTHAT?” She got upset, looking for the mare. I called her over to her horse friend and the two had a reunion on top of the half door. Never forgotten that.

Horses are very sociable animals. My sister's horse started cribbing and he was just miserable all the time. We bought him a baby donkey, and the change was immediate. He and the donkey were inseparable.

My 5 horses love one of my cats. He rides on the front my 4 wheeler to the pasture, he jumps down and visits all 5 rubbing all around their legs. They like to play with his tail. Never once hurting him. They like all of our labs also when they were living. Growing up I always had shepards and they always went riding with me.
