That is one beautiful airplane, with lot's character and charm. Almost Art-Deco I would say.

My father worked at Ryan in San Diego, pre war. Part of the deal was being able to learn to fly, in the ST. I have a few nice pictures on my wall.

That is one beautiful aircraft, and to be able to build a kit with new technology just gets better and better. Great episode. Keep them coming like this one, thank you Wiz

I live very close to the Marion NC airfield. It is a joy to see you flying. I often film you flying from my yard. Thanks for the show. Very cool!

There is a Ryan ST at the Temora Aviation Museum in flying condition in NSW, Australia, and was the flight school’s commandants plane during the Second World War. Temora was a pilot training school in WW2 and the Ryan PT was sent out there as a candidate as a training plane. Needless to say the DH Tiger Moth was used and the Ryan PT was given to the commandant for his use, as trying to ship it back to the USA during the war was not economically practical, so it stayed.

It cries out for a 4-cylinder LOM. Air-cooled, inline, inverted 4-cylinder.
