i appreciate you showing this sketchbook off. I too used and currently use canson XL sketchbooks. However, the rough texture of the paper doesn't feel too good with nibs (that's just me) but is perfectly fine with a brush. I'll for sure purchase this visual journal!

THANK YOU! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for, and the hilarious thing? I've been using this exact sketch book for other sketching. I use colours with my work (W&N ink pots) but I was looking for this information.

The book I already use, I also already love. I won it from ArtalaCarte's own Valerie (check her out. She's amazing 💜.) I really like your snow scene. I'm not a fan of winter, but your image makes me feel cozy. Because I think of looking out the window at something like that, and drawing while doing tea. Thanks for the nostalgia.

I guess I am not that skilled in my appreciation concerning the finish of the ink but with your help I think I will be more appreciative of the differences. I use Rohrer & Klinger and Monteverde for now but I want to get a dip pen to use some India ink I own. I want to expand my use of fountain pens and sketching with watercolours. Concerning your sketchbook recommendations, I totally concur with the finish of the paper, etc. I have had a couple of the Strathmore now for about a year. I would like to find some hot press options and in 100 % cotton for the watercolour part of the sketching. I enjoyed your style and will subscribe. Cheers from British Columbia
