for me the "install new module" link was missing in extend. if you enable "update manager" in extend and try going to /drupal/admin/modules/install you can install.

No way to install a module... in Acquia. Error:

and them appears a FTP option with user and pass. put the one of the website admin and same thing, put the one from Acquit and nothing again, so basically i'm stuck!
