John you forgot how to connect the speaker to the phone. Usually the code is 0000. once you put those numbers you can hear the speaker.

I got this for $20 from a guy on the bus who showed it to me and showed me his receipt...he said he regret buying it but since he opened it they wouldn't take it back... so he said he just paid $40 for it but wanted only $30 well I said... "I only got $20 to buy a sweater for christmas"he said um ok since it's christmas u can have it for $20... i test it n wow blowned away by the quality n loudness of the speaker... it's was way louder than my laptop speakers at max volume..thank u bus guy

I bought one of these when they first came out and after a recent trip to Best Buy to test the new crop of Bluetooth speakers. I can say without exception these blow away ALL the others. The Pill by Dre sounds like a 15 dollar speaker for $200 bucks, not even close as the others just seem to have thrown Bluetooth into a box with a rechargeable battery and radio shack speaker. HMDX hands down better than the rest at any price. I have NOT heard the latest Bose entry, however being Bose I am certain it's great, just too pricey for me.

HOW TO PAIR OR SYNC...this video does not tell you. I went to the jam website and clicked on my speaker (the classic) then clicked on support and the clicked on the manual. The last step fixed my problem of not connecting, that is to HOLD THE PLAY BUTTON FOR 5 SECONDS. Then my Galaxy S4 was able to "see" the speaker. Hope this helps others.  Peace!

These are the best speakers ever. I went to fry's today and went to check this bad boy for my self. At first, I thought they were going sound terrible because there plastic and there small and so on etc. But at soon as they turned the volume up and load a song to it, I did not beilive the sound that was coming out. These are some good small speakers.

I've noticed that this speaker works as a transducer speaker so that on the right surface you get lots of bass.

That's because it's primarily used as a bluetooth speaker.

I havd this speaker and love it but you can not charge it off your pc as they state tho. Secondly no charging brick comes with it had to purchase seperately. Nice sound for something so small.

I know, it works...I saw it connected to a phone, but I cannot figure out how to connect it to my Windows_7. For some reason, my device is NOT found when i try to "pair" it. IF you see this comment, what will you suggest I do...?

Bothme and my brother bought these and neither came with a charger is there anything else we can use? Only got about an hour out of it :(

This thing is LOUD and it produces enough bass.
I was shocked with how loud it gets. It's so loud that i only play it on like half volume and it's already enough volume to be loud for a room.

Anyone know how long it takes to charge cause it doesn't indicate when its charged. and is it possible to over charge it?

The down side is the vulnerability of the connection points for charging and connecting to your devices that are not supported by Jam. I now have huge blob if Plasticine round the cable connection points as they cut off the speaker power or charging ability A usual weak point in these mini speakers of like ilk. If patient enough some patient soldering can fix it,

I just got mine today, and I'm very satisfied with it. Great sound, volume is high enough for a room. Only con that after you connect it with a phone, the volume can only be controlled with the hdmx jam(not with the phone). Maybe thats the case only with my phone.
