Bonneville World Finals | Streamliner Problems Pushing for 400MPH | VW Caddy Goes 195+MPH |RS Garage

SCTA Bonneville World Finals 2024 Recap. For this event the Valley Fever showed up with the new Dart 2JZ after having engine issues during Speed Week. The team faces some issues during this event. In the first run the streamliner broke the lower shaft on the quick change rear end. After getting that issue fix the car experience a fire in the engine bay, in turn burning up some electronics making it ineligible to make another run. The Volkswagen caddy powered by 1.5L Turbo engine made some impressive passes this time around going over 195MPH. We also feature Wayne Yeats Belly Tanker powered by a Flathead Ford engine.

Bonneville is the s**t! It’s one thing to buy your cars some parts but it’s another to push the limit with what you know as an engineer. Love what you all do thank you so much.

Just something about max rpm, max "time on load" and have stuff live that stands the hairs up on your neck🤌
Reminiscent of old static dyno testing of F1 engines..break out the pen and write down the co and temps..😅
A hint why the caddy lived...it's got WAY less tip than map.
If that had a low compression or large clearance volume, the ve of that engine would be mega.
