Interestingly, this is the most lens compatible camera Nikon has ever made.

Have just bought one; should be arriving tomorrow. Have never felt any inclination to own a digital camera before. I think it’s a pity that it doesn’t include a built-in GPS module, and the optional one is quite expensive, but otherwise it does everything I want. I like the fact that I can use all of the same lenses which I use on my film cameras.

I love the idea for this camera. A photo-only camera that preforms really well, but it's WAY overpriced, even 7 years later.

Greetings Mr. Jon. Great assessment on your Photography gear for 2019. May I ask for your opinion?

*Last year (2019) I sold all my Nikon gears (D800, D700, 24/1.4G, 50/1.4G, 70-200/2.8ii, 2-SB800s) to give way to invest in a mirrorless system. After all the research, I decided for Fuji.

*While waiting for good deals on Fuji cams, I bought some fuji lenses already (16/1.4, 50/2.0) at 2nd hand prices and in excellent conditions. I intend to buy an XT3 with either an X100v or XPro3.

*But I stumbled across a Nikon Df (which is rare in our country) being sold at US$800 but with 25, 100 shutter actuation though the body appears very mint. It's sold as a bundle with a 24-120/4.0g vr at US$1000. But I will not take the zoom lense as I'm planning to invest on older prime pre-AIS, AIS and D lenses to couple with the Df.

*Do you think that US$800 on a Nikon Df with 25, 000 SC is a fair rate? And do you think a Df is a more worthy investment in 2020 over Fuji bodies in terms of durability (I heard that for some Df units, the leather skin peels off overtime with some peeling off as early as three months into usage). Also we have to consider that the Nikon service center here locally is awful.

if today i had to choose b/w a $450 d610 and $600 df, yeah, i'd get df... but... i already have df...
