Price gauging should be illegal and it is literally 90% of our food cost increases, 100% of our energy increases, and about 80% of other product cost increases. The dow is over 40k, executive pay is through the roof, more stock buybacks now than in the history of our country, and Trump's tax breaks - these all symptoms of price gauging and US corporate greed.
I'm a former head of forecasting/economist/data modeller for major retail corporations. Their base product costs have barely risen but profits are up over 200%. Robert Reich is 100% correct and I'm ashamed to be an American. I love Biden, but his administration and the DOJ should have gone after these major food companies, energy corps, and others who overcharge and lie to the people. Media calling this inflation shows how clueless they are and how the owners of these media companies are part of the problem. F the corporations and executives who do this.

When companies like Kroger Foods and Albertsons never lowered food prices back to pre pandemic levels once the supply chain issues were resolved - that’s price gouging! I’m glad a politician is finally calling these companies out!
