I miscarried at 19 weeks and my aunt asked what i did wrong, when I told her I did nothing, her exact words were, “Look all I am saying is if you miscarry in the second trimester its usually something the mother did, thats all I am saying” When I tried to explain how I felt to my grandmother she said “oh, you know she didnt mean it like that”. I don’t blame or have any anger towards my grandmother, she is the sort of person who will always think the best of a person. Even when I have done some not so nice things in the past she always gave me the benefit of the doubt. My aunt on the other hand is a different story. My miscarriage was in February 2017, I fell pregnant in August 2017. Saw them at Christmas when I was about 6 months pregnant, was able to hide it as I wasn’t showing much, had my daughter on 2 May 2018 and showed up at Christmas with a 7 month old. I regret NOTHING.

if you ever had a miscarriage you would understand why she hid it. I wish I could do this to my family. it really hurt me to see them so hurt after we loss our 3 children It is so much easier to just surprise everyone with the baby and know everything is ok.

We have lost 4 babies to miscarriage. And don’t announce pregnancy due to that. (Too many rude comments) We only had one family member angry and offended over it this time. I loved this video. So glad you could pull it off.

I get why some people would be upset. I also understand why the parents would want to wait especially if they suffered a miscarriage or a stillborn.

This would have been the experience of people back in the days before phones and telegrams and fast post. Even though some might feel a bit mad, I can see the delight here. It's so sudden, with no waiting. Quite unique.

You literally share your entire lives with your family as a human, why not keep something as special as this to yourself while you can? Like, obviously baby is going to be a part of everyone's loves forever, I absolutely admire taking this time for yourself and your wife and nobody else ❤️

If I couldn't see my daughter for 10 months and would get such a gift when meeting again I think my joy would pass any disapointment, but I might be wrong.

On one hand I think this idea is neat and fun. On the other hand, as a mother, I think I would be so hurt if one of my kids had a baby and did not tell me. To not tell me these details of their lives for 9 months, would just gut me. I know I would get over it and love that baby so much, but that first initial reaction I fear would not be a good one. I guess I am torn. But still fun to see on YouTube because it is not my kid, lol
