Before the diatribe, I hope you enjoy this little lullaby, I promise the next one will be fun and light!

Please like, share, and subscribe. This is the month where, statistically, the most people struggle with finding hope and end up in painful places. As we move into 2023 it is easy to already have a cynical view towards the world. Many places tell us a continuous message that there is no hope and no future and that everything is doom. At the same time, we wonder why we are in our current mental health crisis. When we teach developing minds this continuous message it is very hard for them to have hope. We forget that even in the direst times in the history of us as a species, there have always been dawns. Finding a way out of bad times requires resilience and hope. I was one of those minds, told that my circumstances were so dire I would never make it out. I believed it myself and spent many years of my life just spinning around the drain. I got lucky enough that caring people reached out and helped me find my actual potential.
The greatest message I carry with me is, time carries hope. If nothing else does, time maintains opportunity. This song was written with a wonderful friend Morgan Miller (who wasn’t here to sing the second verse). This is a reminder that we all struggle, we all hit our low points, but in our lowest points, if we are going to make it, we need to find some hope to cling to. These hopes can pull us out of deep and dark places. This is a simple story of my own worst times, they are no better or worse than anyone else’s, just a personal testimony to pushing through darkness to find the light. I hope this reminder helps someone in a dark place. Please do share around as widely as possible. You never know who needs to hear a message of hope. If you are in a rough place and need to talk to someone, message me. I’m always available to have a conversation about surviving.

Special thanks to Morgan Miller for being awesome and helping me learn this software and my daughter Autumn Dawn for singing it with me.
Also to my Mom for saving my life and being a huge hero. To Charles Evans for believing in me and helping me find myself when the time most desperate.
