Today we can bring all the marriage candidates on adventure and they even help out! This is the Companion NPCs Mod! It allows you to have 1 npc follow you around for the day and gives you different buffs and perks depending on which NPC it is! It also adds a ton of new dialogue that varies depending on where you are! Stardew Valley 1.3 gameplay with my commentary as always!

Best mod. The NPCs seem more like people living in Stardew Valley instead of just being "goals" for the player to unlock. It's not reasonable that they wouldn't know how to fight or do things.
Does the mod function once you're married too or after a divorce? It'd be so weird if it worked after a divorce, dragging a bitter angry NPC around who won't talk to you but happily slaughter things would be hilarious but so weird.

This is a really cool idea for a mod! The walk animations could use some work, as it's clear the npcs walk cycles weren't built to facilitate moving so quickly, but this looks really awesome. It's nice for your s/o to have practical use in farming/adventuring.

this is a great idea that feels like it could be vanilla if the creator wanted to. i think the buffs should scale with affection levels, and would need some consideration of balancing. With mines being an option, the npc's may need to have a health or fatigue stat that either makes them leave once exhausted, or stop helping temporarily.

I laughed so loud when I saw Maru running after the bus. That made my entire day.
This looks like a pretty solid mod. I kinda hope they flesh it out some more.

It reminds me a lot of the Rune Factory games. You can invite almost all npcs to hang out with you they use diffrent weapons and have different base stats, some even use magic and stuff.

“Pam likes to drink to dull pain. When traveling with Pam, all damage taken from tougher monsters is nullified!”

This would be a cool thing to have in game. Like maybe on your way to an event in town they follow you and instead of leaving your kids to fend for themselves at home your spouse carries them or they follow you. That would be a small touch but it would be nice.

If your wondering, the sword Abigal and Emily have is the Neptune's Glaive. Its a level 7 sword that does 18-35 damage
-1 speed
+2 defense and
+4 weight
