US wanted to make a fool out of Russia and China. But instead, the US made a fool of itself. Let that be a lesson.

Officially Indonesia hasn't joined BRICS, but it has already started. The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train was built by China and is the highest-speed train in South East Asia.

Without china, Singapore is just a little red dot on the map and they know it.

Maybe it time for BRICS to change the name to an international name without naming the countries in its name like BRICS moving forward.this way any country can join or withdraw without changing the name again 😅😂 . I recalled Duterte was trying to get IMF loan after China was too slow to give the loan when I was in the Philippines in 2019 😅 😂
But I think China knew Philippines is about to turn to US side. 😅😂
China is not that stupid after Duterte renewed Military base deal with US in August 2020 just before he left office .I saw this on Philippines Public TV and YouTube I was always for Duterte but after renewal of military base contract I knew CIA likely threatened him 😅 😂

Singapore is a very small country and it has to balance itself between the two superpowers. Singapore has lost a great deal of its significance because it has become too expensive to be the prime business center. Malaysian cities like port of Malacca is rising up to challenge Singapore’s position as China’s BRI high speed trains that connects Malaysia and Beijing through Thailand is being built. China knows very well that the usa is using Singapore for her warships and is trying to diminish Singapore’s strategic importance through various projects.

From the region myself ... and I have always found the position of Spore intriguing. No one in the region wants to take Spore, so their siege mentality is not so understandable. It is their willingness to profit as a Western extra-financial hub, much like Panama or the Barbados, along with likely implied Western threats to their prosperity that explain their vacillation in the dawning era. Their previous position would have been less tenable if not for one Lee Kuan Yiew, a larger-than-life leader whom the West had grudgingly "admired". My prediction is that the rich in Spore will melt away again, just like the rich Chinese does since time immemorial, when the shit hits the fan.

Indonesia is apparently putting tariffs on Chinese textiles as they cannot compete on cost and it is crushing local industry. A lot of pinoys seem to be excited by what they see as Indo standing up to the big meany up North. Interested to hear your take on how this relates to the China-Indo relationship and BRICS.

Indonesia to slap 200% tarrifs on Chinese imports. If the US can do it, so must we say Trade Minister citing protection of local companies.

There's no competition here. Everyone wants peace and prosperity. No one wants war, not even one on their doorstep, let alone inviting destructions into their own countries. Remember, in just 20 years of trading with China ASEAN has now become the fifth largest in the world after the US, China, Germany and Japan. The U.S. is hallucinating if it thinks it can coerce ASEAN nations to pick America's side.
