I find it funny that people are complaining this $3200 unit doesn't have EVERY SINGLE option and feature from what is essentially a $13, 000 Quad CDJ x A9 setup. My only issue is the apparent lack of magvel.

No stems, no other streaming services other than beatport, no internal drive, no dmx. Does AlphaTheta even know what Prime4+ is capable of and how much does it cost?

"Alpha Theta has delivered big time" - really?! No internal drive, no Aux In, no Aux Send, no elements dedicated to Stem-functionality, only one USB-C for laptop connections which makes the switch between two djs difficult inconvenient, no streaming services beside beatport, no dmx, no option to connect USB-sticks via USB-C.... and the list goes on... all of this for 3299, - Euro! If the device had been released in 2021, the features would be acceptable. In 2024, that's simply not enough. At such a high price, I expect more, especially essential features such as the ability to connect two laptops. While the device has great features and is one of the more interesting ones on the market, Alpha Theta continues to underperform and lacks real innovation and essential basics.

It’s really nice but the turn off for me is the hefty price. Great thing is other options are available like the Rane Performer.

Dual deck, that's what Denon had back in 2019 for 2/3 the price.

And physical crossfade select buttons, and adjustable brake, and selectable deck colors (stock firmware 1.5)

To summarise: Expensive, no active layer deck colours, light control that has been on Denon Prime hardware for almost 4 years, weird beat jump button location, gated playback taken from the RX3, the same awful 3 column menu system when sorting tracks, no internal ssd capability, cue point display that has no labels (still.)

The only positives I see are the ESS audio chip, wireless headphone capability and the extra dedicated master EQ. Looks like another overpriced con job from Pioneer under the Alpha Theta badge. They can change the name, but they’re still behind the game. I would go for a Denon Prime 4+ with more functionality, flexibility and lower price than this, that gives a Dj much better value.

Totally agree with the comments re price. Also, the streaming and connectivity options are miles behind the competition.

If AT reduced their prices so it reflected the feature set, which let’s be honest, is not what it should be at this price, then it could be called worthwhile.

We as dj’s and the community need to stop this madness that is the AT/Pioneer pricing… I’m not anti AT, only tired of them pushing products that don’t justify the price tag, (in my humble opinion) based on what the competition offers regarding feature set vs price …

So why is the AZ not having the same layout as the GRV 6 and Opus quad the CDJ style?

Pioneer keeps releasing product with no proper upgrade with ridiculous prices.

Yet none of the their products beat Denon prime4 which was released years ago.

All they need was send/receive, zone out, tidal integration, magvel fader and it was on the money.

At the moment it feels like a bit of a piss take to say we’ve given you want you want, now rack off.

For it being 7k in Australia, it’s a hard one to swallow for what it is.

A very vital point you seem to have missed is that the XDJ AZ is supposed to be replacing the XZ, which is dumb if you ask me, especially as the XZ had a Magvel fader. Heck, even the DDJ 1000 (which I own) has one.

I love this thing and what it has done for my shows has put me so much further above the competition.. I decided to buy 2 so I could rock 8 decks .. it sounds like overkill but everything is so intuitive and the latency is incredible!! I thennnn ended up buying a 3rd deck to keep in storage, just in case one of my other 2 decks breaks down or something. 👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It's quite litterally perfect for actual pro DJs looking for a way to not spend 11k on gear to get the standart club setup. I can't believe how many people talk about stems when LITERALLY not one DJ in my 5+ years in the techno scene has ever mentioned them : it's a non issue for actual pros & headlining acts
