How to Grow Indian Bean Tree (Catalpa) at Home

In this video, we will show you how you can grow a very beautiful and useful Catalpa tree from seeds at home.
The Indian bean tree is not native to India, but comes from the eastern United States and was introduced in 1726.
Catalpa is used as an antiseptic, antidote for snake bites, laxative, sedative and anthelmintic. It has been used successfully in preparations with other herbs for the treatment of whooping cough in children, as well as for the treatment of asthma and spasmodic cough in children. The leaves are used as a poultice on wounds and abrasions. Seed tea is used in the treatment of asthma and bronchitis, and is also applied externally to wounds. The pods have a calming effect and are thought to have cardioactive properties. They are also used in the treatment of trachoma and conjunctivitis.

I must have gotten my pods early, I saw a tree with the biggest leaves I’d ever seen as I was walking through the park looking for tree seeds to harvest and I was looking at this tree and only saw a few of these long skinny green pods so I grabbed the only two I could reach (with a stick to help lol). But all the research I’m doing shows them brown and many more than what was on this tree so imma go back in a few weeks and check. It’s technically still Sunmer so it’s still early lol.
