Could Yooka-Laylee Be as Filthy as Conker’s Bad Fur Day?

We've played about an hour of Yooka-Laylee and it's loaded up with some proper grotty jokes.

Banjo had plenty of dirty jokes and innuendos, nothing new.

The whole point of Conker is how it takes the aesthetic of Banjo and it's darker humor and takes it over-the-top with no subtlety, shame, or filter. Maybe if Yooka-Laylee does well Playtonic can recruit Chris Seavor and co. to make a new game in the same vein as Conker.

Banjo Kazooie and especially Tooie had allot of "filthy" humor. But it was less in your face to hide from censors.

So I wouldn't say that it is linked to Conker and more just rare being rare.

I think a good idea if they have this game crude would be in options mode have a toggle to have an crude mode (with all crude jokes and all) and a non crude mode (if having completely different words and sentences would take too much development time, there's always the options of having all the crude words substituted for another word -I remember once in Runescape as an april fools joke, all swear words got substituted for cabbages, maybe Yooka Laylee's team could think of a funny word to take place of rude words in the non crude mode) and in order to have crude mode you'd have to have it enabled on the parental controls of whichever profile you're currently on.

I'm in my 20s so crude jokes wouldn't bother me, but it would be great for the younger generation to not be stopped from enjoying this awesome platformer when it comes out.

You forgot to mention about the character called "Trousers", the succesesor of Bottles from Banjo Kazzoie, and it's a snake... A snake called Trousers: "Trouser Snake".

There were jokes of this kind in Banjo-Kazooie as well.
I don't think I'm the only one that knew what Kazooie meant when she said "I know, where *I'd* put this!" after finding the Ice-Key! =P
