YSL Yves Saint Laurent Tuxedo - What Makes It So Great?

At first I thought it didn’t project until I passed by a shirt I had sprayed it on an I was like wtf was that smelling so good . Tuxedo

This is *such* an interesting fragrance. I'm a pretty big fan of YSL (Le Nuit De L'Homme/Bleu Electrique/L'Homme EDP and Y Le Parfum staying in constant rotation), but this was going to have to be a blind buy for me since there is nowhere for me to sample it. I'd seen several glowing YouTube reviews, so based on what I have in my collection from YSL, I figured it would be something similar. Nope - Not. At. All. I was not prepared for what this would smell like, and I knew from the first spray (which, by the way, this thing has an AMAZING atomizer) that this is one that would not be put into use often. As a matter of fact, I had to go back and watch those YouTube videos to make sure that what I received was the real thing and I didn't get duped, because it was such a departure from those scents I listed above! Like you said, this is not an everyday scent, and you really need to choose what occasion you wear it to wisely, because this is one of those "you don't wear it/it wears you" fragrances otherwise.

Their Babycat is much more interesting with vastly superior performance. Tuxedo's pretty wimpy from a projection/sillage point of view.
