Jason Weigandt has more to talk about, too! He walks and talks through his racing neighborhood in North Carolina while previewing the finale of the "pilot season" for FIM World Supercross, which wraps up Saturday in Melbourne, Australia. In just a two-round series, anything can happen. Can Ken Roczen hold onto his slim points lead over Vince Friese and Justin Brayton? Weigandt explains while also visiting Bundy Built, the crazy engine shop next door. Race shops from all over the world have helped prep riders for this World Supercross Series.

World Supercross finale!!! Wow two whole rounds.

I understand calling it a pilot, but don't give a "Championship" for a limited two race series; waters down what goes into winning a true championship.

Weege so biased. Im not saying its the best ever but we should give it a chance. If nothing more than to get the riders paid more.

Back in the day micro midget guys were notorious for buying a brand new R6 Yamaha, swapping the motor into their race car for a season then back into the bike frame and sell the thing as a low mileage street bike. Probably still do...

Those midgets scream. PTW ratio is comparable to a Cup car putting out 1600 HP. These little insight videos are what makes Weege the best in the industry. A true motorsports fan.

Brayton may still have a chance. Roczen always fades as the season progresses but maybe a 2 race season is too short. 😅

10:10 - This is not the first time that 1 of the 2 major motorsport organizations (FIA for cars, FIM for motorbikes, sidecars and quads) has tried to make a whole world championship based on non-factory efforts

Between 1997 and 2003, a man known as John Magnoletsi created an open-cockpit sportscar championship that eventually became known as the FIA Sportscar Championship. While all major manufacturers were focused on GT1 cars (supercar-based racecars) in the late 1990s, he aimed to have a championship for the much cheaper roadsters. All of the grid was full of privateers running either their own creations or cars a couple of seasons old they had bought. Most of the grid was filled by brands like Lola, Riley&Scott, Courage, Pilbeam, Reynard and Debora. The FIA Sportscar Championship died at the end of 2003, mainly because the ACO (auto club that has organized ALL motorsports events in Le Mans in history) created the Le Mans Series in 2004.

I take it that electric start RMZ probably has an "X" attached to it somewhere, judging from the headlight.

Can you even watch live in Australia? Doesn’t seem so

I’m excited for the Melbourne round. I’ll be watching it & so will everybody else that’s bitching. 😂 Hopefully next year they’ll decide to only do a couple of rounds & keep it a smaller off season type series. I think it could be successful that way. Well see.

Great job as always weige, the bait on the hook is not real tasty for your followers but I thought last nites racing was pretty damn good besides the hilights of R1 that dragged on, they should of show more Aus SX history because it was the AUS Sx not WSX, but if you were a first time watcher would of grabbed you.
Was a good track, plenty of practice and racing and lots of dramas that unfolded.
Looking forward to seeing savatagy reaching the summit🤙

Sounds like the title in both classes come down to the same three teams

Another cool video but I was a little disappointing in the world Supercross tracks I guess I just like to see the old days where it was Bar to bar Supercross racing just like when David Bailey and Rick Johnson battled it out that type of track I just think Supercross has become mixed in with freestyle Lost its true meaning of indoor close racing keeps spectators on their feet

Worlds supercross or whatever you want to call it, a race is a race and You gotta be in it to win it so i give credit to whoever does ! but that race has too many stupid rules for my taste where they wont let Eli Tomac ride in it just because he isnt on a specific team that they want after he already won the first 3 race heats in the 2 event series...
