100% agree, the otr/mega carrier route ruins guys! Teaches incompetence (only the shop fixes stuff, oil changes, whatnot) not properly mentoring people to be independent! Just meat in the seat

I started directly into the oil patch, small town local job. Never more then 2 hours from home. No way I’m going over the road. The pay is better here locally and I get to sleep in my own bed.
