Help my chickens are eating eggs! 4K

I placed a ceramic egg in each nesting box and one of my hens immediately went to the boxes and started pecking the ceramic eggs. I solved her problem promptly and permanently.

I found my chickens eat eggs cuz they are bored so I set up a TV in the nesting box room so they all can watch Saturday morning cartoons all week long....😆

Wow, never ran into this before and now I have a flock which cracked an egg and told the rest how great eggs are! Please, …has anyone had a complete flock turn crazy for eggs seconds after being laid?!

My Chickens are spoiled.They have everything. Still losing eggs and so .. even at these crazy prices, I eliminate those caught, and will switch to grocrery store and buy them. My girls eat way more than they economically produce. The feed cost does not justify the losses.

Another video recommended keeping boxes elevated and at a slight angle so they lay and don’t stay. I’m going to try entertainment and a higher box I’ve separated the guilty lady but she sometimes lays a double yoked egg she’s been a great layer for years she’s 4 years old and still lays daily and there enormous she recently started eating hers and the others fortunately the others didn’t follow suit and egg collection went back to full swing after I moved her and I caught her in the act eating her own. I hate to butcher a great layer and one I’ve had so long.
