Woke up with a girl on a sofa after a heavy night getting smashed as a teen, some where in the background music was playing, lay there in a haze listening to this fantastic sound and a gravel filled voice singing like he meant and lived every second of the songs. When I asked who it was young girl on the sofa said Springsteen, I hadn't heard any thing by him at this point, but she bless her recorded it to tape for me before I left. I wore it out in a week played nothing but this album and have been hooked ever since. My fav has to be Point blank off the river, but this is one so full of memories of one night with a girl I never saw again and no longer remember her name even, just know she was here in North Wales with her family summer of 78, I was 17 then and that one chance meeting changed my life forever, I love sitting with a beer and a vinyl copy of this album, wondering where she is now. Legendary status is banded about too often but in the case of Bruce Springsteen it hardly seems enough to describe his ability to write beautiful songs with meaning and sing them from the heart. Thank you "The Boss"

I was lucky enough to be a Jersey girl in the early Bruce days. I remember driving through blizzards to see him at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park.. an hour and a half in GOOD weather! I've been following da Boss ever since and will til I die or he stops performing. Anyone who lives their life without seeing him in action is missing the greatest showman on the planet!

Bruce is a smoking hot guitarist. Somewhat overlooked because he's such an awesome songwriter. Good problem to have though. Wise man once said if Dylan or Springsteen didn't write it it's not worth covering. Chills up the spine when you witness it live.
