After learning that her mother, Caren Adams, had terminal cancer, her daughter, Cara, sought out the Merlin and Carolyn Hanson Hospice Center to care for Caren during her final illness. Cara’s mother expressed that her last wish was to watch her daughter get married. With the help of friends, volunteers, and hospice staff, Caren was able to live out her dying wish as her daughter was married at the Hanson Hospice Center just a week before her death.

I am a Hospice rn here in Kansas and this was a beautiful story and testimony of what hospices do for the patient AND family. We take care of everyone, my Hospice we helped with several weddings, baptisms, engagement then a wedding and basically if a patient wanted a celebration or try to go to Galveston island one last time with her sister we made it happen. My calling in life is being a Hospice RN Case Manager and I am so thankful that God chose this job for me. Kudos to all of at Hanson Hospice Center for making this work and what a beautiful day and a priceless day. 3 cheers for this Hospice team and for all hospice staff and volunteers who are making a difference daily

Sweet girl, live the life you have - write everything you can about who mum was as a person and what a great mum she must of been to raise a beautiful young lady like you. Tell your children all you can - do it whilst it's fresh - it will help you to heal. I am preparing that for my children now. I won't see Grandchildren but i know they will still know me. You are in my prayers. God Bless you, your husband and your marriage. And may your mum be without pain and sickness in Heaven. lizzy - UK

Wow this reduced me to tears...such a beautiful couple and your mum was beautiful too, you can still see her beauty in her face...very emotional....hospices are amazing and everyone should have the choice to be there in their last days if they wish to.

May God comfort you & your family. My father died from cancer in 2017 at the age of 62. His birthday is tomorrow. I'm still struggling with his death. My heart is broken. I think of my father every single day. I love and miss you so much Daddy.
